Creole Queen Goes Into Dry Dock

January 14 2015 | Blog

The Paddlewheeler Creole Queen had a great 2014. We hosted some fun and unique weddings, a lavish party for the Bacardi family during Tales of the Cocktail, sold out all of our Cajun Holiday Tea with Papa Noel cruises, served as the BUKU Music + Art Project’s exclusive VIP venue, just to name a few of our highlights from the past year.

After a busy and successful last year, we’re preparing to dock for 17 days for annual routine maintenance and sprucing up. This down time is necessary to continue to offer our customers the best experience and service on a vessel that’s as up to date, sharp looking and highly functioning as possible.

We’ll start our maintenance on Wednesday, January 21 and will be back rollin’ on the river starting on Wednesday, February 11, just in time for all the big Mardi Gras festivities. If you’re in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, be sure to add the Creole Queen to your itinerary when you’re not catching beads!

While we’re closed for maintenance, our sister company Jean Lafitte Swamp Tours offers fun and exciting swamp and airboat tours just 30 minutes from New Orleans. Guests will have the exciting opportunity to see incredible wildlife in the depths of the Louisiana swamp. And if you need a ride to and from the airport, our other sister company Airport Shuttle can help you out with that, too.

We’ll miss our customers while we’re gone but will be excited to return looking and paddling better than ever!
