Where to Eat:

Coming to New Orleans and not eating at Commander’s Palace is kind of like going to Chicago or New York and not eating pizza. This iconic, award-winning NOLA restaurant has been serving Creole and Cajun favorites since 1893 and show no signs of stopping anytime soon! The Sunday Brunch is as New Orleans as it gets with the room filled with colorful balloons and live Jazz music as you indulge in an incredible brunch 3-course meal.

Grab your bride squad and head to Cafe Amelie for a cute little lunch or brunch outing in the French Quarter. If the weather is nice, ask to sit in the patio area. From the atmosphere that surrounds you to the heavenly cuisine that’ll enter your belly, you won’t regret it!

For the bride squad that loves fine dining and exceptional service, Desi Vega’s Steakhouse is a must! The overall ambience of the restaurant is one thing that makes this restaurant so great, but the real treat is when your food arrives. You really can’t go wrong with anything you pick, but the steak literally melts in your mouth, the “Freddie Mac and Cheese” will take your taste buds to another level, and the servers do an amazing job of making sure the drinks keep coming!

Sunday’s at Sobou isn’t just a “brunch” it’s “brunchertainment.”  Catch their "Legs and Eggs" Burlesque Brunch with a three-course meal and entertainment featuring world famous burlesque dancer, Bella Blue. Don’t forget the Honey Buzz Punch or the Bellini’s!

Where to Drink:

Carousel Bar and Lounge, famous for its revolving carnival-themed bar and signature Vieux Carre drink, was named one of “Food & Wine” magazine’s “Worlds most iconic hotel bars.” We’d have to agree with them on this one as its one of NOLA’s most iconic bars where not only hotel guests and tourists flock, but also locals!

Everybody knows you can’t come to New Orleans without a visit to good ole Bourbon Street for a ride on the bull at the Bourbon Cowboy or a karaoke set at Cat’s Meow. You won’t find a shortage of alcohol on this 13-block street that is filled with bars, clubs, restaurants, and local shops.

Monkey Board is a funky and energetic rooftop bar that sits atop the Troubadour Hotel offering beautiful views of the city, hand crafted cocktails, and live entertainment such as DJs or local bands.

Bacchanal allows you to personally pick your own bottle of wine straight from their extensive wine cellar and pair it with some cheese for a relaxing evening on the patio with some live music. Wine, cheese, and music.  What more does a girl need?!

What to Do:

The best way to see the beautiful skyline of New Orleans is traveling down the Mighty Mississippi River with the Creole Queen. She sails two times during the day, but the views on the nighttime cruise will have you and your squad talking about it for months. Get a little dressed up and enjoy the sweet tunes of a live Jazz band as you sail down the river!

With shopping options like Magazine Street for the local favorite Fleurty Girl or Kendra Scott, The Shops at Canal Place for high-end shops, the Outlet Collection Riverwalk for reasonably priced purses, clothes, shoes, and much more, and the French Market for hand-crafted souvenirs and antiques. Shopaholics will be in heaven with the endless shopping options the city has to offer.

NOLA is filled with cute spots throughout the city that make for great photo ops. You can either take a guided walking tour that will highlight the most important historic parts of the city or take the Hop On Hop Off bus to find the best spots!

Grab your girls and your favorite drinks and take a nighttime bike ride through the French Quarter, Marigny, and Warehouse District with colorful LED lit bicycles and music that will have everyone else jealous they aren’t a part of your crew.
